Sant Cugat de Valles in Spain was the setting last weekend as the Cat Bike Exit Team presented its project for the upcoming 2015 seasons in World Supersport - with Spanish riders Marcos Ramirez and Nacho Calero - and Superstock 600 with Ezequiel Iturrioz of Argentina.

The presentation included words from team manager Jordi Villares, pleased with how the operation has been put together in a short space of time, and there was also optimism from 11-time WorldSBK race winner Ruben Xaus who is now heading up the AndMove management company.

Furthermore, the team will work closely alongside Team Go Eleven, an outfit with extensive experience in the eni FIM Superbike World Championship.

The event also featured personalities such as 2011 WorldSBK Champion Carlos Checa and his brother David and Joan Lascorz.

Nacho Calero:
“Last year Ruben Xaus was already looking on and I knew the potential he could offer. It was already a good team, but Ruben’s proposal attracted me to it even more. My goal is to always be in the points and I will do all I can to achieve this.”

Marcos Ramirez:
“Last year I did three runs on a 600 in the Copa de España and I’ve been training more over the winter. The Moto3 bike (FIM CEV Repsol) was getting a bit small for me but I believe I am capable of being competitive on a 600 because I have already been quite quick despite the lack of experience. I think, by mid-season, I should be in a position to fight for good positions.”

Calero and Ramirez will have their first contact with their new bike in two weeks’ time, at the Phillip Island test session which comes before the season-opening race.

Absent from the presentation was Ezequiel Iturrioz, who was finalising his pre-season preparations in Argentina. His first racing of 2015 will come as the European Superstock 600 Championship kicks-off at MotorLand Aragon on Saturday 11 April.
